Caffeine has always received a bad rep as a gateway drug, but a new study may prove that cannabis is actually an "exit drug."A study published Wednesday in the Clinical Psychology Review medical journal found that cannabis can greatly benefit people dealing with mental health disorders such as depression, social anxiety, and PTSD, reports Time."This is a substance that has potential use for mental health," said Zach Walsh, the study's lead investigator and associate professor of psychology at the University of British Columbia, in a statement."We should be looking at it in the same way [as other drugs] and be holding it up to the same standard."The study also found that using marijuana could potentially help alcoholics and Marijuana addicts kick their habit.
