Each week, newly incarcerated inmates detained at the Jackson County Jail have the right to see a judge and the district attorney to be notified of charges and have a court date and bond amount set.At that time, inmates are informed that they have access to court appointed lawyers if still detained by the scheduled court date, or will be required to hire their own if released.For those with accumulated court costs, fines, and other monies owed to the court, each day served in jail takes $25 off that amount.
