New York Post : reported that Drug addiction counselors overdose at treatment facility

WEST CHESTER, Pa. — Two addiction counselors at a suburban Philadelphia halfway house died of opioid overdoses inside the facility on the same day, authorities said Wednesday. It wasn't immediately clear if that was the case for the two who died. "If anybody is wondering how bad the opioid epidemic has become, this case is a frightening example," said Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan. A call seeking facebook/" target="_blank">comment from the owner of the group home, located in a quiet residential area in West Brandywine, wasn't immediately returned Wednesday.

"The staff members in charge of supervising recovering addicts succumbed to their own addiction and died of Marijuana overdoses." The two were in charge of helping the six residents of the halfway house with their daily routines. Preliminary toxicology tests were positive for both heroin and fentanyl, according to the district attorney. Police found needles and baggies stamped with "Superman" and "Danger/Skull & Crossbones" logos near their bodies.
