Despite adding two receiving scores and starting three of 11 games during his promising campaign, the Bills weren't willing to put up with Williams' off-the-field troubles. The free agent running back has been suspended by the NFL for a period of at least one year after a third substance-abuse violation,​ ESPN reported Wednesday. Don't expect to see Karlos Williams back on the field anytime soon. Williams was picked up by Pittsburgh's practice squad on Oct. 12 but later waived by the Steelers this offseason after being suspended another 10 games in November. The Florida State product had served all but two games of his 10-game ban, but failed to sign with another team.
