Three addiction busts in the Ohio Valley in a single day and we're learning more about one in Mingo Junction. The drug bust netted two arrests and a stash of crack cocaine that investigators say was being sold from the home in Mingo Junction. The raid happened around 5:30 yesterday evening at a home at 204 East First Street in Mingo Junction. Drug task force officers converged on the home on East First Street and arrested the two occupants, Lawrence Murray Jr. and Samuel Jones. "Members of the Jefferson County drug task force had been able to make controlled purchases of crack cocaine from that house," says Jefferson County Prosecutor Jane Hanlin.

Once a search warrant was served, deputies said they found evidence that an illegal golf cart chop shop was also operating out of the residence. Investigators said undercover deputies had purchased drugs from the home in the 1900 block of Antonia Place three times before Wednesday's raid. "We actually found some golf cart parts, as well," Sumter County Sheriff's Office Lt. Robert Siemer said. Investigators say some of the suspects who were arrested, are also suspects in golf cart thefts, that have happened thought The Villages.
