An investigation into an east Mountain blaze which killed a mom & 2 of her Kids has shown the blaze was caused by careless smoking. Ontario blaze Marshal Researcher Richard Derstroff told CBC break news which the blaze started in the basement, & was caused by careless smoking. The mom & her 2 adult Kids were found on the main standard of the home, lock to the forehead door. - Richard Derstroff, Ontario blaze Marshal investigator"It's following to impossible to set exactly what their actions were, or whether they were trying to escape," he said. Investigators did find some directory which someone had tried to douse the flames, by water running in a basement laundry room.

Improperly discarded smoking materials caused the fast-moving home fire which claimed the lives of a pregnant lady & her 2 young sons in Hamburg earlier this month, according to authorities. Trooper Janssen Herb, a state police fire marshal, ruled Thursday the fire which broke out on the backyard porch about 11:30 p.m. Sept. three at 440 S. 4th St. to be accidental. He said the investigation showed no directory of any criminal intent.Jennifer Wilder, 27, Gabriel Kalinofski, 5, & Julian Gust, 2, perished in the fire. Their bodies were found on the 2nd floor of the home. Neighbors announced the home was engulfed in flames while firefighters arrived for what would become a three-alarm fire which burned for various hours.

Careless disposal of smoking materials likely caused Holland restaurant fire

according to HOLLAND, MI -- blaze officials tell the careless disposal of smoking materials in wood mulch likely caused a small restaurant fire. Firefighters quickly contained the blaze at Village Inn, 934 Washington Ave., & damage was minimal. The blaze was announced about 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 after smoke began pouring out ceiling vents inside the dining area. Firefighters arrived at the scene to find blaze on the outside of the building, extending into the reduce roof line. Firefighters quickly extinguished any flames & made sure flames did'nt still into the attic space.
