Initiative looks to substance abuseBARABOO, Wis. - Sauk province is looking at Fresh ways to tackle the province's Opium problem. The Sauk province Health section is working by the Sauk province health & Wellness Coalition to form a Fresh initiative which going to partner by resources around the province to protect drug abuse. Kim Lohman, director of the SSM Health curing healing Center in Baraboo, works by patients addicted to everything from prescription pills to heroin & methamphetamine. The province is facing an epidemic of drug misuse which includes prescription Opium, heroin, methamphetamine & other substances, according to Sauk province Health Services. We necessity to look it differently as a brain illness," said Sara Jesse, health educator at the Sauk province Health section.


Summit aims to lower smirch of drug abuse

drug abuse & healing has been an ongoing conversation in nationwide, & in central Wisconsin. Wednesday, the Marathon province Alcohol & other Drugs copartnership hosted the second annual healing Summit. It featured speakers from all areas of intemperance healing, including law enforcement, behavioral health professionals, & healing coaches. "I think while it comes to the influence of intemperance in the society, I think further & further people recognize it's not "those" people, it's "our" people. She said the summit is only 1 step to building societies which are supportive of healing & encourages people to intensify & get participate.
