Wisconsin grievance blames drug makers for Opium problem

MILWAUKEE — almosttwo dozen Wisconsin provinces are suing makers of prescription painkillers, alleging in a federal grievance Tuesday which the companies' "nefarious & deceptive" marketing campaigns precipitated the nation's Opium overdose epidemic. Drug companies knew their "products were addictive, subject to abuse, & not secure or efficacious for long-term Utilize," which grievance tells. It names Purdue Pharma, Johnson & Johnson, Endo Health resolution, Inc. & subsidiaries of the companies. Johnson & Johnson did'nt immediately replyto an email asking for comment. In Wisconsin, one,824 people died from Opium overdoses from 2013 to 2015, according to the grievance.

Wis. provinces sue prescription drug makers to recover costs of Opium epidemic

as informed in with EMS1 StaffMADISON, Wis. — further than 1-3rd of all Wisconsin provinces sued various drug makers & doctors for millions to recover the costs of the Opium epidemic. Journal Sentinel announced which 28 provinces filed breaking up lawsuits which seek millions of dollars to compensate for social services, law enforcement & contingency response to the Opium epidemic. The lawsuits said the companies used deceptive marketing to innovate a public nuisance which misrepresents long-term Opium security. "province governments are bearing the brunt of the costs of this problem," lawyer Erin Dickinson said. "Defendants have to be held responsible for the destructive influences their actions have produced on provinces across this country.""Our law enforcement, human services & judicial systems are being stressed in the effort to effectively replyto & manage the damage caused with Opium abuse & intemperance," Oconto province Health & Human Services chairman Alan Sleeter said.
