The announcements with several territory attorneys' offices came after the American Civil Liberties Union & Massachusetts' public defender agency in September asked the state's highest court of law to toss any statuses attached to Sonja Farak. The dismissals came after claimants in April agreed to dismiss around 21,000 criminal drug statuses due to a scandal involving a different state chemist, Annie Dookhan, who admitted faking tests. Farak, a chemist at the Massachusetts State Crime lab in Amherst, was catched in 2013. Massachusetts authorities going to toss out over eight,000 convictions which are tainted due to Farak, who authorities tell was high nearly every day she went to workCivil liberties group said generality of the convictions being dismissed attached to Farak include low-standard drug statuses.
