City of Portland to sue drug industry over Opium problem

6 months after Multnomah province filed a $250 mn grievance versus Purdue Pharma & other Opium industrialists, the Portland City Council unanimously decided to too take legal action. The City Council on Wednesday directed the Portland City Attorney to sue Opium industrialists & distributors to recover the funds it has expended Battling the Opium problem. "3 Oregonians die weekly because of prescription Opium, & cities such as Portland are on the forehead lines," Mayor Ted Wheeler said in a written statement. U.S. Magistrate Judge John Jelderks, But, sent which grievance back to state court of law. The city of Portland plans to file its grievance in federal court of law, where it going to likely to transferred to the multi-territory litigation in Ohio, the city reported.

City of Brunswick sues drug companies over Opium epidemic

as declared in CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The city of Brunswick joined hundreds of governments nationwide in filing suit versus drug industrialists & distributors linked to the Opium problem which has wreaked havoc on Northeast Ohio & the rest of the country. "Defendants put their desire for profits above the health & well-being of the City of Brunswick," the grievance tells. The suit is 1 of hundreds filed mostly with native & state governments versus the drug companies. Other governments in Northeast Ohio have either filed suit or indicated they would, including Cuyahoga province & the cities of Parma & Lorain. The state of Ohio too filed suit in state court of law, though Attorney General Mike DeWine was present for settlement talks Polster hosted in January.
