Attorney General Andy Beshear filed suit versus Ohio-based Cardinal Health on Monday. (Reuters) - Kentucky's attorney general on Monday filed a grievance versus drug distributor Cardinal Health Inc, accusing it of contributing to the Opium epidemic with unsuccessful to halt or report suspiciously Big or frequent orders with pharmacies of prescription painkillers. Attorney General Andy Beshear in the grievance accused Cardinal of unfair, misleading & deceptive business practices which he said led to the excessive distribution of Opium in Kentucky. Cardinal Health said in a statement which it cares deeply about Opium abuse & intemperance & it believes there is an "urgent necessity" to work toward resolution to address the public health problem. 2 other state attorneys general have sued Cardinal Health. In December 2016, Cardinal Health agreed to pay $44 mn to solve appeals with the U.S. Justice section which it failed to mindfulthe U.S. Drug Enforcement Organization to suspiciously Big orders of addictive painkillers.
